Prosecco Wine, like all wines of maximum excellence, is produced in a restricted and exclusive territory. North-East Italy, in the regions of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia (excluding the provinces of Verona and Rovigo).

The different production areas of Prosecco Wine :

DOC Prosecco Wine area:

The DOC area  is the largest area of ​​production, it is mostly new vineyards grown almost entirely in the plains and processed entirely by machine to achieve very high volumes and low production costs oriented to meet the needs of an ever-growing International retail market.

DOCG Prosecco Wine area:

The DOCG area  includes the denominations Conegliano-Valdobbiadene and Asolo. Here the hilly surfaces rich in minerals and the mild climate are the natural habitat of the Glera vine. In these hills you work almost entirely by hand with the help of some machinery and the production is reduced to 135 quintals / hectare to promote the quality of the wine. In the steepest slopes the “RIVE” type is produced, which represents a sparkling Prosecco DOCG made with grapes coming from a single municipality.

DOCG Superior CARTIZZE Prosecco Wine area:

The Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore of Cartizze is the “Grand Cru” of Prosecco, called the Pentagon of Gold and it is here that the exclusiveis produced Cartizze spumante. It is a selection of 107 hectares where the production of grapes is reduced to 120 quintals per hectare, ensuring the best quality of the bunches, with a higher sugar content reaching peaks of 17 g / l in the freshly pressed must and from which we produce a wine with unique organoleptic characteristics.
